Started watching the NFL again! Its been over a year that i have decided to boycott watching any NFL games because of this jokers acts, Colin Kaepernick…..
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick angered a lot of Cuban Americans when he praised Fidel Castro, the deceased dictator of Cuba. Snoop Dogg joined in on the criticism of Kaepernick, saying the NFL player’s support of Castro makes his protest of the national anthem look hypocritical.
“He’s sort of kind of hypocritical in so many words because he’s pushing this, but at the same time he’s giving credit for this and this is the same abuse that [Cubans] been taking,” Snoop said during an appearance on Fox Sports 1’s Undisputed. “It makes you hypocritical to be able to speak on this topic and that topic. That’s why I say he doesn’t have a team. If he had a team, they’d tell him, ‘You can’t say this.’”
Kaepernick’s original comments praised Castro for investing more money in Cuba’s education system than their prison system. He later refuted the notion that he supported any of the human rights abuses under Castro’s leadership.
“Trying to push the false narrative that I was a supporter of the oppressive things [Castro] did is just not true,” he said at a post-game press conference on Sunday (Nov. 27). “I said I support the investment in education, I never said I support the oppressive things he did.”
You can watch Snoop Dogg and the Undisputed crew’s full discussion on Kaepernick’s protest above. During the conversation, the veteran MC said Kaepernick cannot be a true revolutionary while participating in professional football.
